Working with Analyca
6 questions
What does Analyca do?
Analyca is a data analytics and IT consulting firm in New Delhi. One team covers the whole data stack: database management, data engineering pipelines, BI dashboards and reporting, data governance and security, and DevOps. We also take on cloud migration, real-time data pipelines, AI and ML model integration, data security and compliance, industry analytics consulting, enterprise technology and digital transformation work.
How does an engagement start?
With a call. Our engineers ask about your systems, your data and the decisions you need it for. We then review your current setup and send a written plan with scope, timeline and team. Once you agree to the plan, we deliver the work with documentation, and can stay on to run and support it.
Do you take on fixed projects or ongoing support?
Both. Most work starts as a project with an agreed scope. When it is delivered, we can stay on to run and support what we built, or hand it over to your own team with documentation.
Which industries do you work with?
We work with companies in 11 sectors: Banking, Financial Services & Insurance; Manufacturing & Retail; Healthcare & Life Sciences; IT & ITeS; Telecom; Transport & Logistics; Travel & Hospitality; Media & Entertainment; Education; Technology & SaaS Companies; Consumer Goods (FMCG).
Where are you based?
Our office is at B2/372, Sector-6 Rohini, New Delhi 110085. Tell us where your team and systems are when you get in touch, and we will explain how we would work with you.
How soon can you start?
It depends on the scope and on how quickly we can get access to your systems. After the first call and the review, the written plan gives you a start date and a timeline.
Database management
5 questions
Which database platforms do you work with?
Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, on your own servers or in the cloud. If your platform is not on this list, ask us.
What does database management cover?
Database design and setup, performance tuning, backups and recovery, monitoring, security patching and capacity planning. We can do this as a one-off project, or act as your outsourced DBA team.
Can you move our databases to the cloud?
Yes. We plan the move, test it on a copy first, and cut over in stages with a rollback plan for each step, to keep downtime as short as possible.
How do you fix slow queries and a slow database?
We measure first: query plans, indexes, locks, memory and connection use. Then we fix the causes we find, such as missing indexes, inefficient queries or wrong settings, and compare the result with the first measurements.
Can you help when a database is down?
Email us at info@analyca.in and tell us what is happening. For clients on ongoing support, how we respond to incidents is set out in the support agreement.
Data engineering and BI
4 questions
How do you build data pipelines?
We build batch and real-time pipelines that collect data from your systems, clean it and load it into one place, such as a data warehouse or a lakehouse. Depending on your stack, the work can involve tools like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake or Databricks.
Which BI tools do you build dashboards in?
We work with Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, and with other tools your team already uses. We agree the KPIs and how each one is calculated with you first, then build the dashboards on a single source of truth, with access rules so each person sees the right data.
Can you bring data from our ERP, CRM and other apps into one place?
Yes. We connect sources such as ERP and CRM systems, databases, spreadsheets and third-party APIs, and bring their data into one warehouse with agreed definitions, so every report starts from the same numbers.
Do you integrate AI and machine learning models?
Yes. We build the data pipelines a model needs, put the model to work behind an API or inside your applications, and set up monitoring so you can see how it performs over time.
Security and governance
4 questions
How do you protect our data during an engagement?
Access to your systems is limited to the engineers working on your project, under a non-disclosure agreement. We use the access methods your security team approves, and at the end of the engagement we hand over or delete project data as you request.
Which compliance requirements can you help with?
Our governance and security work covers access control, data protection, audit trails, retention policies and audit preparation. We map that work to the requirements you need to meet, for example India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act or a security framework your organisation follows.
How do you approach backups and disaster recovery?
We agree recovery targets with you first: how much data you can afford to lose, and how long a system can be down. Then we design backups, replication and failover to meet them, and test a recovery so the plan is proven before it is needed.
Who owns the work you build for us?
You do. Custom deliverables built for you, such as pipelines, scripts, schemas and dashboards, belong to you once the fees for them are paid, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. Analyca keeps ownership of the tools and methods it had before the engagement.
